The Day School at St. Matthews United Methodist Church has been a pillar in our community, providing quality childcare for over 50 years.
Our age groups range from 6 weeks to 12 years old and we provide after school pick up for Regency Place Elementary students.
Having a quality Day School on our campus is a blessing. As we grow and provide unique activities for the children, we want you to know that “your children are our most important resource”. St. Matthews is dedicated to being a positive influence in our community and considers it an honor to be part of a program that is shaping the future for tomorrow’s individuals and families.

Curriculum
We wish to create the most positive environment for our children and their parents. We continue to plan ways to enhance their days with Frog Street curriculum and lesson plans offering diverse elements, including an array of social, physical, and mental skills.
The St. Matthew’s Children’s Director, Ms. Nicole, leads the children in chapel once a week, where children learn new songs and Bible stories.
Playground
Our tree-shaded playground with park-grade toys is the newest addition to our facilities. Our children love climbing, sliding, and playing on our colorful play pieces.
STAFF
Our committed teachers offer a team approach, supporting the director and the guidelines of the school. They love the children and it shows in their interactions. They frequently stay after class to decorate their classroom or set up new activities for the children. They provide enhanced cleaning of the classrooms during the day, following government guidelines. We are blessed to have a committed staff.

What to expect
We use ProCare, which is designed specifically for Day Schools. This tool utilizes streamlined management, including billing, touch-free check-in/out, access to the school calendar, schedules, and communication with Day School staff through the app. Teachers log updates about your child and post lots of wonderful photos of your child doing various fun activities throughout the day.
We take your child’s safety seriously. We have a keypad entry to our facilities and a gated playground. Cameras are in each classroom for the director to monitor classrooms and teachers remotely.
Director
Ms. Hawaii Kalani has a strong background in working with children, she is innovative and well-regarded by the parents. She continuously looks for fresh ideas for the classrooms and creates new activities to increase involvement for the children. She has an excellent approach with the parents. The School Board often receives positive feedback regarding Hawaii from the parents.

Our school is on St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church campus that provides beautiful and well-equipped facilities to nurture children’s minds. We have 5 dedicated day school classrooms divided by age, a gymnasium used for indoor recess and dining, and a commercial kitchen.
We offer care Monday-Friday 7:00a – 5:30p for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old and provide after school pick up Regency Place Elementary students.
