The St. Matthew’s Endowment Funds help to identify and develop opportunities for planned giving. Our purpose is to endow and support the lasting impact of the church’s ministry and mission by encouraging members to remember St. Matthew’s in their planned giving.
How to Give
1. Through our offering, designate the gift as “permanent endowment.” The funds will be deposited, and you will be contacted by the endowment team.
OR
2. Contact the chair of the endowment team to work out the details of the gift.
Current Funds
Permanent Endowment Fund
This fund of St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church is established to provide members and friends the opportunity to make charitable gifts to the church that will become a permanent endowment to support the work and ministries of the Church.
As of July 31, 2023:
– The current fund balance is $50,679.53
– Unrealized declarations have been made in the amount of $0. – Over the life of the fund $0 has been granted for use.
Kitti Coffey Fund
This fund was created in memory of Kitti Coffey who was a dedicated teacher and faithful member of the church. Scholarships will be for the education of the pastoral staff except for the senior pastor.
As of July 31, 2023, the current fund balance is $18,009.90 with $6,933.73 available for distribution.
Stories of Impact
Kitti Coffey funds have been used to send several staff members to conferences and workshops. These staff members have used their training to improve the ministries of the church and to help build a healthy and vital staff of team members focused on the goal of spreading the grace of Jesus Christ in all our activities.
The Permanent Endowment is looking forward to its first disbursements in the year 2024.
